Queen Elizabeth II: Behind the Scenes

Brushing off against Annie Liebowitz and her endless line of assistants... Asks the Queen, in all her regal finery, if she wouldn't mind taking her crown off (actually a tiara) because it might look "less dressy".
"Less dressy!" explodes the Queen. "What do you think this is?" Indicating her garter robes, which are about as dressy as her regalia gets...



The BBC edited the footage to make the poor Queen look as if she was stomping out of the session in fury. She's actually sweeping into the session late and in great irritation at having to don such a heavy and uncomfortable outfit...

It's a Royal Knockout, 1987

IT'S A KNOCKOUT was a silly gameshow where people dressed in pantomime costume amid massive blow-up sets and lots of water and plastic balls to do stupid things on television. It was actually quite modern in its central dumbness.

Prince Edward, who was into theatre and all that, set up a special event where he, Andrew, Fergie and Princess Ann (!!) would compete...
